Watch what happens when you put a transducer, a flat surface, a sine wave generator and rice together. You can see the rice “jump” into new patterns whenever the resonant freqency of the plate is reached, then agan at each octave. Enjoy!

Ok… This is why physics rules.
I can just see this being used at some point in the future on a much larger scale as some sort of show visualization.
But who had to clean up the rice on the floor?
